Musing: While most Christians today are ignorant about Bible prophecy, many have no qualms about seeking the predictions of psychics, horoscopes, tarot cards, tea-leaf readers and other such methods. These are very evil practices in God’s sight. In fact, He forbids it.
There shall not be one found among you…who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorceror, or one who casts a spell, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord… (Deuteronomy 18:10-12a)
DID YOU KNOW: God occasionally allows the predictions of such evil methods to come true. That’s right. Accurate psychic readings etc. are occasionally permitted by God–but not for their affirmation. Rather, God is using it to test you! To see whether you’ll return to the psychic or whether you’ll repent and turn back to the Lord God and cling to Him instead. (Deut. 13:1-4) May I suggest this is one test we’d better never fail!
